Ever since I got here, I’ve been feeling the familiar internal struggle of identity.

Well, I’ve been in “jo-burg” for almost two months now, and I think I’m starting to get the hang of this place.

This week, during a meeting, I was asked to write a letter to God. Here’s what I wrote:

I’ve been spending quite a bit of time in Soweto this last week.

For the longest time, people have been encased in the belief or non-belief of God.

I find that in the week I’ve been here, I’ve come to some realizations.

There was a theme today that seemed to appear serendipitously, and that was the relationship between music and war.
