I’ve been spending quite a bit of time in Soweto this last week.

I find that in the week I’ve been here, I’ve come to some realizations.

There was a theme today that seemed to appear serendipitously, and that was the relationship between music and war.

Although I went to sleep last night full of ambition, this day held many overwhelming things.

Even if one is like me, and doesn’t care for tourist traps or monuments (I’ve seen the Eiffel Tower several times, and my reaction is still, “so what?”), there are times where I find myself giddy like a tourist for certain places.

I slept… a lot.

While I probably should be in bed like my roommate Molly, I am actually pretty wired despite not having slept for more than 25 hours. Yay jet lag!
